I’m Eryn. I write cozy mysteries.
What else? I started out as an elementary school teacher, and did that for about ten years. I loved my job getting to hang with super-fun amazing kids all day, but I developed some health issues (see below) that made it so being in the classroom wasn’t the best thing for me. Now I get to write full-time and I can’t believe how lucky I am to have such an amazing job (like, seriously, I think someone needs to pinch me).

I am a total cat-lady. I’m pretty sure one of my husband’s worst fears is that I will show up one day with an armful of cats I’ve adopted from our local humane society.
Currently, I have just two (ahem, notice that word… currently). =) They are frequent partners in my writing sessions.
We also have a rescue dog. Marshall came to us from Texas when he was just a few months old. He’s an eclectic mix of lab, bloodhound, chow, and some other stuff neither we nor the doggy DNA people can pinpoint, but we adore him all the same.
Add in my husband and you’ve got my whole wonderful little family. We live in the Pacific Northwest and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. What can I say? I love those rainy days. They give me a great excuse to curl up with a blanket, tea, and my laptop so I can get a little writing done.
Over the past few years, I developed some autoimmune diseases including alopecia which means I lost all of my hair due to stress. The picture to the right shows me with my natural hair, before I lost it. The picture above that one shows me in one of my blonde wigs. Honestly, I thought it was the end of the world when it happened, but I’m learning to live with it and (dare I say) love it as time goes on. I definitely never had the patience to keep up with dying my hair every few months, so I’m giving myself permission to have fun with different colors. I’m happy to talk about my hair loss if you are going through something similar or if you have questions about the disease. Just send me an email or DM me on my Instagram account below.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
